You know it's sad when you look at the catalogue the girl has in her hand (the model from the spring 1990 catalogue) and you remeber that catalogue...I also remeber being a little girl and cutting out the pictures (ok so I was like 10) and I arranged them in a scrapbook of all my fave dolls for my mom, kinda makes me wish I'd kept them all these years...I even had the very first catalogue.

    Oh well

I wish I had my first catolgue. I used to make a scrapbook like that too. Well I sometimes still do but I'm only almost 12 okay! LOL!

That is so sweet. Kind of nice to hear all the joy you got as a child playing with the catalogues. Thank you for sharing.

Many of us have stroies about our past, present, and futures with AG. I have a section we created at AGPlaythings just for collectors to post their stories. Whether you are a memeber or not you can post as a guest. It would be great to see some of the stories from HB members there too.

I don't think it's sad. I have all my old catalogs dating back to 1988 and I remember that cover and how much I wanted to be that girl! Kirsten and I even tried to climb a tree. She fell out and broke her leg She made a trip to the hospital before there was an official hospital. They sent her back in a pair of pantalettes, which she still has, along with her originals.

I loved the AG catalog when I was a little girl. I would spend hours adding up prices of things trying to maximize the shipping. Like if an order up to $50 was $10 shipping- I would add up different combinations of things to get as close to $50 as possible- and then beg my mom to buy them for me!

I saved all the catalogs but I don't know what happened to them.
